Superfood Smoothie

This fresh and powerful drink is full of brain and body goodness! Blueberries are a powerful antioxidant and packed with nutrients. Smoothies are a great way to add in extra vegetables for kids too ;)

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup almond milk (or other nut juice, coconut water, etc) 
  • ½ cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 stalk of celery – cut in pieces
  • 1 tbsp hemp hearts
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • A small handful of walnuts (or your preferred nut of choice)
  • A handful of spinach
  • 1 scoop (approx 2 tbsp) of your favourite protein powder
  • ½ tbsp maple syrup

Optional Ingredients: 

Blackberries or raspberries, but blueberries are the most powerful for the brain 😉 a ½ a banana would be tasty,  ground flax seed, coconut oil, kale, or even cauliflower, can be added if you want to sneak some more veggies in there;) 

Directions: 

  1. In a blender, add almond milk.  
  2. Add all other ingredients. 
  3. Blend on high until texture is smooth and creamy.   
  4. Enjoy!
