Regular exercise has been a part of my life for a long time. Before moving to Deep River area, I was a member of GoodLife gym, mostly doing cardio with some (very little) strength training. Since moving, I have tried out a few different exercise establishments but I couldn’t stick to any of them. A friend suggested I try Lesley’s classes and I’ve never looked back. What I love most about Baila Studio is that every week is different. I am never doing the same workouts and my muscles are always challenged because of it. Lesley incorporates so many different aspects of exercise into her classes; weightlifting, dance, cardio, isolating movements, body weight exercises. What I find most convenient is that each class is as hard as you want to make it. If am not feeling a hardcore workout,Ii can still get to a class and go at my own pace, ensuring that I’m still getting in my movement for the day. Whereas there are other days where I feel pumped and energized enough to up the weights. The workouts are all modifiable to accommodate for people at different fitness and health levels, Lesley even takes the time to show the move multiple ways so everyone can participate.
More than just a fitness instructor, Lesley cares for her clients. Having injured myself last year, it was Lesley who got me back into exercising when I did not believe it possible. She was able to show me modified moves and proper technique so that I would not hinder my healing process and would come away from my injury stronger than before. Lesley is the reason I keep going back to classes at Baila Studio. Her passion, dedication and commitment are apparent in every workout, and her energy is out of this world!
